From the entrance portico to the terraces, Roman nature combines design to generate an immersive experience and iconic spaces with blooms inspired by Bulgari jewellery. The rooftop sublimates the eclecticism and richness of the greenery while enhancing the astonishing view of Rome.

The hotel is located inside one of Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo's three rationalist buildings, built in the late 1930s. These buildings constitute the architectural backdrop of the square, dominated in the centre by the majestic presence of Emperor Augustus's mausoleum. The critical challenge for the landscape project was to harmonise with the existing rationalist architecture, emphasising its historical importance and, at the same time, creating new interactions with its elements.

Central to the project was the client's vision to reintroduce the essence of Roman nature into the building's external spaces. Like nature, this vision bursts into space, creating iconic spots and redefining the architecture. The spaces are meticulously designed to provide an immersive experience, a sensory journey rich in vibrant colours and scents inspired by the blooming beauty of Bulgari jewels.

The landscape project develops through the various building levels, starting from the Portico on the ground floor and extending to the courtyards and terraces, up to and including the indoor spaces. The Portico, the first space that greets the guests, is designed to offer an enveloping experience. It provides a unique view of the surrounding square, with vegetation punctuating the entrances and lounges. The varying heights of these elements interact with the colonnade, creating a sense of lush greenery and a welcoming atmosphere.

The Terraces are places of conviviality, exclusive areas from which you can enjoy the panorama of the city and its climate. They are inspired by the idea of spontaneity and eclecticism typical of Roman terraces, spaces in which nature expresses itself through personality and heterogeneity. Pergolas colonised by climbing vegetation provide shade and comfort. Groups of vases and tubs with small trees and Mediterranean vegetation embrace the living rooms and tables, giving life to memorable landscapes of notable visual identity. The Rooftop is the most magical place, a garden suspended over the city of Rome; the vegetation extends along the entire edge in pots and tubs of different sizes, generating an iconic and surprising view of the city.
